Our HM Bark Endeavour is a magnificent landmark on the the River Tees at Stockton-on-Tees. It is a reflection of those bygone times when sailing ships made their way to Stockton and even Yarm from ports in countries across the whole world! 
This nostalgic reminder to our past has even more of our romantic history to unfold, This is the only full-size replica of the HM Bark Endeavour located in the Northern Hemisphere and one of only two in the whole world!

However there is more of interest to unfold, because this is the world's only replica of the Whitby-built Earl of Pembroke, that historic vessel adapted and re-named the Bark Endeavour, the vessel in which local man, Captain James Cook circum-navigated the globe and sailed into our history books.

It is fitting too, that the birthplace of Captain James Cook is only a few miles away at Marton on the edge of Middlesbrough. whilst it was on the slopes of the Cleveland and Teesside landmark of Roseberry Topping that James Cook lived as a young boy!
